Alan and Michael Perry
"The longest serving members in the Design Studio, the Perry twins, Alan and Michael, began sculpting freelance for Games Workshop in 1978, while they were still at school. They joined the company in 1980 and have worked as Miniatures Designers ever since, producing miniatures for both the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 games ever since. The twins quickly established a reputation for the high quality of their work and the dynamism of their models poses. They continue to sculpt miniatures full time, working on the latest models for both Games Workshop's core games and the forthcoming Lord of the Rings project.
Since 1985, they have also been sculpting models for the Wargames Foundry in their spare time, a company that specialises in miniatures for use in historical wargames. As if this wasn't enough, together with colleagues from Games Workshop, (including Rick Priestley) they were heavily involved in the creation of Warhammer Ancient Battles. They have been playing wargames since the age of ten, and are avid collectors of antique armour, weapons and other militaria.
The Lord of the Rings project promises to produce some of their best work to date and has thus far seen Alan and Michael sculpting Orcs, Humans and Dwarfs.
Alan lives in central Nottingham, with his wife Jill. Michael lives under the shadow of Nottingham Castle, with his partner Elena.
