Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game
With the interest beaming for the Lord of the Rings the RPG Experts at the Decipher RPG Studio got to work with the Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game. Since August 2002 fans have had the LOTR Core Book, and with each new release players are able to expand their hold on their own story in the Tolkien's Middle-earth.
The first question everyone asks is just what is a Roleplaying game? The most notible of Roleplaying Game would probablly be Dungeons and Dragons series which was the outlet for many fans prior to Peter Jackson's explosion of interest in Middle-earth. The very core of a Roleplaying Game is one person as a Dungeon Keeper, or Narator, this person dictates the events of the story and rolls anywhere from a six sided dice to a one hundred sided dice to dictate the outcome of the adventure, and thats exactly the kind of action you'll find with this great new series of games.

LOTR RPG Conquers Origins

Congratulations to Christian Moore and the Decipher RPG Team for taking the Origins Award for Best RolePlaying Game at last nights Origins Awards Ceremony. Decipher's Chairman and CEO Warren Holland had this to say; "We are very proud of The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game and are extremely pleased to see that the rest of the gaming community believes in it as much as we do. Our game designers work extremely hard to develop roleplaying games that stay true to the property and we believe that we have accomplished this with The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game ."
