Explanation:
Worldforge is currently in Development, and will allow
for people to create their own worlds. It is entirely possible that with
enough interest a Middle Earth world could be created literally by fans.
There will be a toolset to build things in this game, leaving the worlds
that are built up to the creators imagination.
Review:
Worldforge looks to be a very interesting, and new idea. Around 2001
a version of Worldforge should be released allowing players to create
their own worlds, and code them in every way. There will be easy systems
to create worlds, so that just about anyone with time and an imagination
can help in the creation of a world that they, and others of like mind can
role-play in.
Imagine building the glorious city of Minas Tirith, or the ancient
Dwarven Kingdom of Khazad-dum. Perhaps designing the hidden city of Gondolin,
the possibilities are seemingly endless. From what I understand when
Worldforge is done, and players can create their own worlds, all the details
you can think of could be changed and added. On the FAQ of Worldforge it
is mentioned that this game could be thought of as a free Everquest or
ultima Online. Free to create any world that comes to mind. This has great
possibilities, and with enough effort on the part of Middle Earth fans, could
be used to create something great. |
