NeverWinter Nights

Review:
Modules, or worlds, will be created with the Solstice toolset. This toolset should be easy to use, and very powerful. Using this toolset you should be able to create your own creatures, players, worlds, and all aspects of it.

The game sounds very promising, giving the players an opportunity to create the perfect world for them to role play in, and not a simple mass market game. I am interested to see how the game will turn out when its all done, however from how it looks now, you’ll be able to set up campaign’s, and in depth plots for your world. This means a city from Middle Earth was created, there could be real plot developed for it, that will play out in the module. You will also be able to link to other worlds, so if one group of people worked at creating Gondor, and others worked on creating Rohan, you could set up a way to enter between both worlds.

The races in this game, as well as most of the aspects of it, are along the lines of AD&D. However I would imagine if your building your own module, you could limit what races would be able to be created.

There is already a guild set up in Neverwinter Nights called Arda Online, or Arda Nights. It is under the name Arda Nights on the playervault, and consists mostly of disgruntled followers of Middle Earth Online. They’ve come together to try to form their ideas, and plans for building a great Middle Earth Module when Neverwinter Nights is out. So if your interested in participating in this game, it would be great to go check that out.
